Will and Harrison

Almost 3 years ago, Will met his "bwess fwend" Harrison. They didn't know it when they met, but Elizabeth (Harrison's mom) and I have since planned out their whole lives. They are going to stay friends forever, be roommates at BYU, and then Harrison and Emma will get married so the Smiths and the Mosses will officially be family for the rest of time.

Here they are in September 2012:

And here they are now:
It makes me a little sad to see how big they've grown. When did my little squishy baby turn into a bike-riding, talking, running, jumping, potty training, 3'2'' tall big kid?

These boys may have been forced into friendship by their moms but now they are never more excited than when they get to play together. Harrison lives in Pasadena now (come back!!) but last month we got to watch him for 2 days while his mom went out of town. They had a blast. When these two are together they laugh at everything, copy each other's every movement, and don't even notice that one of their parents is gone. They both love cars, balls, cowboys and horses, bikes and scooters. They even have matching Lightning McQueen helmets. As part of my goal to take pictures everyday, I decided to try to capture just a little bit of their silly, happy, crazy, adorable friendship.
These boys just melt my heart. Toddler friendships are the best.

Our bookshelf. I think it's actually a pretty nice depiction of us: language dictionaries and French books for me, Harry Potter, classics, kids toys, family pictures and picture books, scriptures and religion books, "Jesus Loves You" in ASL from Taylor's grandma, and trinkets from Africa from my parents.
