About two weeks before this I decided to come to Utah for one of my best friends Laurel's wedding. We're from the same home stake and we became really good friends my junior year of high school. We went to BYU at the same time, I got married, she went on a mission, and still we keep in touch. I was so glad I got to be a part of her wedding day.
On the other hand, the trip was a weird experience for me. I had no kids, no diaper bags, no nap schedule, no bags full of snacks, no bedtime, no carseats, and absolutely no idea what to do with myself. I expected it to be a completely relaxing vacation but apparently a day and a half is not enough to switch out of mom mode. Luckily, there were plenty of wedding activities and friends to visit to keep me occupied for most of the day.
Since this was my first weekend away by myself
(thank you, Taylor, for watching the kids)
a selfie seemed appropriate.

Will has always been a pretty clean little boy. From the time he was Emma's age if he did get dirty he immediately would come up to me, show me his hands or face, and make me clean them.
Emma is not like that. She eats dirt with a fork.
