In July my Keysor grandparents (my mom's parents) had all NINE of their children together for a weekend reunion. We were missing a few of their spouses, children, and grandchildren, but even just part of the Keysor clan is a big, crazy bunch. :) We took some quick family pictures (it was over 100 degrees outside so the quicker the better), swam, ate, swam, had a little talent show, did a scavenger hunt of family things throughout the house and everyone shared favorite memories of Grandma and Grandpa.
(Uncle Steve cheating off someone else during the scavenger hunt.)
So glad I snuck a picture of just me and my mom. She's a pretty special mom--raised SIX kids (the more kids I have, the more I'm coming to grasp how monumental this is), killer of rattlesnakes, frequent safari-goer and African Jeep rider, best gardener I know (I apparently did NOT inherit that trait, much to our backyard's chagrin), talented artist and watercolor painter, has studied the scriptures daily for as long as I can remember, regularly speaks and leads training in French (despite having to learn it as an adult), master cookie and cinnamon roll baker, and Trader Joe's connoisseur. I've got a lot that I can learn from her.
