My parents are here! (Actually they got here two days before. Day 1:Airport to Tito's to home and bed for my jetlagged parents. Day 2: Beach.)
I got a babysitter for the kids at lunch and went with my parents and my mom's parents to lunch at Lupe's. It was pretty fun being the 5th wheel, only daughter/granddaughter and talking to all of them. After my parents took my grandparents home, my mom needed some new clothes and I needed pillows to match our new bedding so we decided to do some good ole mother-daughter shopping. Taylor was out somewhere with Will so we left Emma with my dad.
She was not happy.
She sobbed for two hours until Taylor and Will got home and my poor dad didn't know what to do except finally just let her cry. Normally Emma will cry for the first few minutes with babysitters but we think that because Will wasn't home she just freaked out.
...But my mom and I had a great time!

Will has been looking forward to going to the zoo with Grandma since last year (when he got home from the Grandma) and the Santa Barbara Zoo is particularly amazing and beautiful so we were all pretty excited to go to the zoo with my parents.
Emma spent most of the day copying what everyone else did (especially Will).
And she finally warmed up to Grandpa.
Completely.
She also tried mooching snacks off another little girl.
And Will the elephant brought all the strangers' comments of "Oh, look how cute he is!"
It was a fun trip to the zoo.
We stopped at Santa Claus Lane for hamburgers on the way home and Will ate an entire cheeseburger himself.
