Visitors

So far we've noticed a trend with little Will. He ALWAYS behaves himself around visitors--family, friends, or perfect strangers. Not that he's a very difficult baby... for the most part when he cries he's quickly and easily consoled with food (like his mommy), a diaper change, or his pacifier. He is otherwise a very sweet, good baby.

This is what typically happens when we take Will to see friends or when we have visitors:

He sleeps. Sometimes he opens his eyes and looks around, but mostly he sleeps. Last night we went to a game night that got extremely loud, with 10 very loud opinionated people playing a game, and he slept through the whole thing. Even at the hospital--when he was passed from aunt to uncle to grandpa to grandma--our little boy slept through it all.

Then, as soon as it's just he, Taylor, and I at home Will almost immediately decides that it's time to eat, it's time for a diaper change, or it's time for a little attention from mom and dad. It's probably just because we try to time the visits to fit in between feedings and by the time we're home he's getting hungry and a little grouchy (again, like his mommy)--but I think that secretly Will just wants to keep up a reputation of being a deep-sleeping, non-crying, perfectly behaved baby boy.

So here is proof that our little guy does in fact cry.

But even if he does save all of his tears for his parents, it's impossible not to love this face...
