Fireflies are magical. Before our North Carolina trip last summer, it had been a really long time since I had seen them (like 15+ years probably) and Taylor and the kids had never seen them before! After our first night there, every day they asked repeatedly, "Can we look for fireflies again tonight??" Watching them get excited every time they saw one light up around them, chasing after one a few feet away, or shouting out every time they saw some from the car was one of my favorite parts of the trip.
